What is poverty ?
Poverty is a state in which a person cannot has its income or consumption level below a given “minimum level ”.
for example : If a family of 5 members are living in a rural area the minimum income should be Rs. 4,080 per month or if they are living in a urban area there minimum income should be 5,000 to meet there basic requirement .
If the income of a person goes less than $ 1.90 per day then he is counted in extreme poverty .
By world bank estimates , the people below poverty line is fallen from 36% in 1996 to 10% in 2010 . Although , there has been a substantial reduction in global poverty but it is marked with great regional differences .
